It's something how a simple "Can I beat this car" thread can go to twenty replies in an hour and a half when the other more tech questions get only a handful over a couple days...

You have much more to gain than to lose, imo. Your car is older and slower so if you win....you are a better driver than she is and have all the bragging rights.....if you lose, your car is old with 1/4 million miles on it, and anyone who thinks they get bragging rights for beating a car they should beat has no business driving cars fast, lol. Either way she doesnt prove very much by winning but should be embarrassed by losing.

Make sure she sees it that way and she may just back out of the race herself.

 

Well we raced 5 times. Her car isn't an automatic like I thought. It's a 5-speed. I took two out of 5 races! Not too bad I don't think. Basically because she couldn't catch traction. But definitely not because my car was a match for hers. Haha hers is definitely more ballsy than my Camaro. But hey it was a good time and I still got two wins.

 

yah them gears you got arent for racing. so how close where the loses?

 

Uh well when she got a good launch, she pulled steady up to 80. She had about 5 car lengths on me by then. But when she had bad launches I'd jump her by 6-7 cars because she spun through two gears and I got her by maybe a car and a half before I let out at 85-90.
