Lol, the 10" tall is floor to top of handle. I wouldn't want mine shorter. I also have an 80's vintage Monte/Malibu/El Camino console in mine, and the shifter fits nicely in there.

With a console they would be fine, but without their pretty high and long. Even longer with the optional base for those who don't have a console!

Yeah, but the rear lower profile portion of the cover, which is about half the total length, would be a perfect place to stick a cup holder or two!

Might work if the seats weren't touching each other, and I had some place to put that rear lower section!

Drove the Austin to the Oktoberfest in Sandy, Or. today, and I sure like the Pro Ratchet a lot better than the Megshifter! It works much easier for up and down shifting without having to pull a release constantly to downshift.
The neighbor and I drove our Austin gassers, and both took first place. Mine in the "Hotrod" class, and his in the "Import" class. Good to see an old gasser beat the import cars in the class he entered! There's hope for hotrodding!

Shot some Zepresserve lube on the mechanism inside the B&M yesterday, and it made it a lot smoother. Guess nobody had lubed it since it was new. After a couple drives to car shows the last two days, I'm really pleased with the way it works. A lot better than the way the Megashifter worked.

Got an email notice this morning from Powerblock TV's web site. The Austin project was chosen as "Gearhead of the Week" this week!
