New old project-1946 Austin gasser
Can't make Canby. That's opening day for deer season!
Started making patterns for the carpetting today. Just laying out the butcher paper and pressing it into shape, then marking with a felt pen to note where it will need to be cut. Got everything marked out, and got the centerlines drawn on the pattern to line up the pieces.
Proabably wait several weeks before removing the seats and making up the carpetting. Then cut the seat frames down and lower them 1" to allow a little more headroom with my helmet on.

No, it meant several weeks, as other fun stuff gets in the way. Just got back from annual fall hunting trip, and the weather is still nice enough to drive the car, so didn't want to tear it apart. Plus I've got another elk hunt in Nov., so it might even be over a month from today before I start.
Fall swap meet today, and not much there to add to my winter project list. But I did find a nice old cooler to add to a winter project! It's an old Falstaff beer cooler, and once it's cleaned up and painted red again, I'll keep it behind the seats to put soda and snacks in for summer cruising. Even has the old Falstaff marked bottle opener on one end:
1-Finish the carpet.
2-Install new tailights, and remove the rear bumper.
3-New chute mount
4-Build new nerf bars to mount in bumper bracket holes to match the front.
5-Maybe a trans swap, if I can figure out where to put a clutch pedal!
6-Try to get it cleaned up for the Roadster Show. Just missed it last year!
