New old project-1946 Austin gasser
Weather was not too good Sat., so skipped that show. Sunday was great, and not too hot. Got a little redness, but gone today.
Finally got the picture from the get together with Ed Iskenderian off my old cell phone! Had to get a new phone today, so the Verizon tech got it off and sent it to my email. Not the best pic, but at least I got it!

There were probably a hundred guys there, and I bet less than 10% were under 40!
i wanted to go really bad but i couldnt miss my class that night. and once again val man that color looks awsome in the sun. the pics dont do it justice.
Cool! Nice pics!
Started to tear the engine down again to do a cam swap. Dropping the 292/292 dur. .488/.488 lift, 114 LSA, and going to a 274/274, .454/,454 lift, 108 LSA cam.
When I pulled the valve covers I found a bad rocker and guide plate on #2 cylinder. It tore up the end of the valve stem when it went, so now I also have to pull the head and replace one valve too. I'm dumping the 1.6 roller rockers at this time, and going back to stock 1.5 rockers, plus new guide plates all around. I'll keep the stud girdles though.
I hope the smaller cam will bring my power band down from the 2800-7000 rpm to a more useable 1600-5800 rpm. I also hope that returning to stock rockers will keep the issue I had with rollers from returning. Need to get this thing dialed in before the Nostalgia Drags this summer!
