im glad u finally got someone willing to paint ur gasser cant wait to see it,with its new color,i know what u maean alot of hard work goes into making these old bodies super straight,im sure when its its done i will be proud of all the hrd work u did,yeah i bet u cant wait to get greasy again thats my favorite part too,i always loved working on the mwechanical parts but i hate the body work,but cant afford to have someone else do it either.hope u can come to a price u can both agree on.

thats awsome. i know the feeling too. had all the 68s bodywork done before we sent it to paint then it seemed like forever before i got it back but thats because i had issues with the painter
Fortunately that's the one thing I'm not concerned about with Aaron. He'll definitely do all he promised and more! He' got a great reputation, and I am excited to have him do the project for me!
Know anybody locally who does lettering reasonably? Gotta find someone to letter it once it's back from paint!
Pulled the top off my intake today so I could drill and tap it for a vacuum hose connection. I have timed vacuum ports on both Holley carbs, but nothing that's straight vacuum. After removing the top and putting it aside I drilled a hole for a 1/8 NPT tap. Tapped it on the bottom between the carbs so it would be easier to do, plus easy to install a ****** 3/8" hose fitting. Plugged all the ports with towells first, then vacuumed it all out prior to reinstalling the top.
I needed to get a better supply to the Subaru power booster, and also install the new vacuum reservoir for extra capacity to make the brakes work better. My vacuum is only around 12" at idle, and max is around 16" vac at best. After installing the new cam I noticed if I got off the throttle quickly and hit the brakes they didn't work like they used to. Hopefully the new reservoir will do the trick!
A friend gave me the vacuum reservoir, and it's a really deluxe polished, cast aluminum unit with vacuum gauge mounted on it. Freebies are always nice additions!

yeah i do actually Bob spencer does stripeing and lettering very cheap hes also know as "Spirit" ill see if i can find his number, if i dont have it ill call gramps i know hes got it.
