Cleaned and painted the inside of the frontend today. Wire brush, and a paint brush by hand. About 3-4 hrs. to complete it. Also added a couple extra gussets where the side supports meet the wheelwell/fender drops, just to make it better.

My liquid filled fuel pressure gauge came in today, and I haven't had any issues with pressure on the mechanical pump, but also had no idea where it was sitting. After installing it I found it's at just over 6 lbs. pressure, so dialed it down to 5.5 lbs.

After getting warmed up and shutting it off, the engine ran on a little, so I backed the timing off about 3 degrees, and it stopped the run on. I'm going to do a little "test and tune" tomorrow, as it's supposed to get into the 90's, and I'll find out if I need to back the timing off further if it runs too warm.

The unfinished Falcon gasser took "judge's choice" at the car show today! Big surprise for sure!

Yeah my friend sold his yellow '41 ****** coupe out there Sat. to some Texan. He said there were about 1500 cars there Friday, and Sat. I could have gotten his passes for today, but didn't get in touch until I was already on the way to the car show. He dropped in and spent the day today at the local show.
Cool that you won something!

Thanks Bill! It was a pleasant surprise! Good to know people enjoy the old gasser style builds still!

Yeah there were some nice cars for sale up there. Lots of overpriced cars but a few goo deals on some very nice cars. Glad your buddy was able to find a buyer. There were not a lot of outside spectators there mainly just people with cars in the show

Got the photoshop image design from a friend who works at a sign shop. He will make 4 stencils for the Falcon, so I can use two to paint on the logo now, and save two more for after the body and paint work get done this winter.

Once I paint it in and outline it, I'll let it dry and then distress it a bit to make it look like it's been there awhile.

Not sure. Haven't come up with anything that I really liked yet.
