Thanks Scooch! Between the Pete Jackson gear drive, and the gilmer belt, it makes beautiful music to my ears!

Sweet, it's alive. Does that belt setup actually make a whine noise?

Thanks! Yes, the belt does have a little noise to it also. Most of what you hear I believe is the Pete Jackson gear drive though.

I've got until late August to sort the bugs out, and then I'll be running it at the Nostalgia Drags nearby. So we'll find out what holds by then!

Sounds awesome love the gear drive. Taboo has one in its motor.

Thanks guys! I've had them in 4 cars, and all sounded different. This one is not as loud as the Austin's, but loud enough. Seems they all have different levels, and it's just a question of how tight the gears mesh. Some quiet down a little as they wear in. I put one in my buddy's '56 and it really quieted down, but turned out it had started to fall apart! We replaced it with another brand and you can't even hear it. He's pretty disappointed with how quiet the 2nd one is.

We went to the swap meet at Chemeketa College this morning, and found another Moon style tank cheap. I am swapping it to the Falcon, and selling the one on the Falcon. Also found two old round Chevy mirrors that have the bowtie stamped into the housings, so I'll put them on and remove my rectangular mirrors.
My neighbor Mike bought a '37 Plymouth sedan super cheap! All new paint, newly rebuilt 6 cyl. 3 speed, frame off restoration, new tires, all new brakes and master/wheel cylinders, never any rust repair, and rust free. He got it for $2750!! Needs glass, interior, and wiring to finish. He's going to clean it up and flip it on Ebay.
