Yeah, I can do it pretty easy, but I don't enjoy it. You'd think after 35 yrs. of wiring for a living I'd not be so against it, but I never have enjoyed car wiring. The Speedway harness will make it easier, I hope! This is my first use of their harness, and it appears to be a good item, so hopefully will make wiring easier.

Hope so, been curious on how good the speedway wiring is because the 33 ford pickup needs a new harness badly

Got the Speedway harness about halfway in. The '95 Camaro column presents some issues that older columns don't have with wipers and cruise in the column. I wont use the cruise of course, but need to figure out if I can use the wipers. Probably need a relay, as the wiring looks small for the wiper leads, and I bet the switch wont hold the load either. I will check the '95 diagrams to see if they use relays. The main connector wouldn't fit, but they supplied a new plastic connector that fit later columns, so just pulled the terminals and re-pinned it.
Everything is plugged into where it goes, and the rest needs to be soldered and heat shrunk to tie it in. Still need to pick up some turn signal lamps for the front. At least most of the spaghetti is off the floor and out to it's point of termination.

We went out to the u pull it today. They have a 4dr '69 Nova, and my buddy cut out a bunch of patch panels from it to use on some rust areas in his 2dr Nova. $50 for all of them. He still needs the trim that goes on the end of the front fenders over the headlights, but it's a very complete car.

On the way home I stopped and picked up my recovered MII bucket seats. Had him delete the headrest openings, and sew them to match the Taurus backseat pattern. They came out very nice, but the material is just a bit less shiny than the rear seat. I may wipe it down with some Armorall to see if it brings up some sheen to match closer.

Got the radiator back in, and upper/lower hoses. Installed the electric puller fan. Also got the hose for the gas tank filler, and finished off the tank. Get back to wiring tomorrow, and keep tying up loose ends. Realised I didn't install an inline fuel filter, so have to put one in ahead of the fuel pump.

Got the seats back in the car, and got back on wiring. Instrument panel is done, as are the tailights. Officially christened the Falcon in blood today when I tested a new razor knife blade on my thumb while trying to remove the cloth outter sheath on the old wiring loom. Got it taped up, and finished up the rear wiring. Need to get a battery soon, so I can test ckts. I was going to do it before I soldered and heat shrunk the connections, but forgot. Hope it's all good, and don't need to cut the splices out!

Not much going on the last couple days. Been helping the neighbor with his '69 Nova gasser project. Going to go pull another 8.8" Ford rear axle at the pick n pull today for his car.

Finally sucked it up and got brave. I welded my support in on the underside of the hood, and cut out the hole. Haven't set it on the car yet to check fit, and still needs to be trimmed out once I get an idea where it needs it.

Had my neighbor come over and help me set the frontend back on so I could check the fit. Even after opeing up the rear edge wider toaccomodate the pivot forward, it still rubs on the scoop when I tilt. I need to open the tapered rear section another .5"-1" on each side. Might just take the last couple inches straight back to clear better.
Got more wiring done up front to connect the headlights, and install my QD plugs for headlights and turnsignals. Also got my battery cables all made up and installed. Stopped byy my old workplace to borrow a Greenlee crimper for the lugs on the cable, and they grabbed one out of a bin of about 50 of them. I looked at the number on it, and it turned out to have my van number on it from the first new van the company bought me in 1991! Tool guy laughed and said, "It must want to stay with you, so I wont check it out of inventory!" Looks like I've got a crimper for the next time now!
Cranked the engine over after wiring the battery, and battery cutoff switch, and set all the valves. I can install the plugs and wires, and finish up under the dash now. Tried for an hour to figure out the wiper wiring, and never got them to budge. Guess I'll do without wipers until I figure out the wires on the factory plug.
