Default Where to mount mech oil guage? and temp ?

94 Z. After replacing head gaskets, I had posted that the oil pressure was real low according to the dash guage. I installed a mechanical oil guage today and am getting 45 @ 2000 rpm and 20 @ idle at normal operating temp 112K showing on engine. I am going to get a new sending unit for the dash guage but also want to mount the mech guage somewhere. Where is the question? I was thinking about mounting it in the console under the radio but don't believe my tubing is long enough unless I can figure out a way to get tubing up over the tranny and through the center hump of the floor. Also thought about just mounting the guage under the hood on the fender where I can see it when I am working on the car. Any suggestions?

How long should it take for the car to heat up enough for fans to engage with it sitting idling? I believe the fans come on at around 230, right? I know my fans are working when the SES light is on. On the 94, the fans only have one speed, right? I idled the car for several minutes today but the temp did not rise to the red mark. It did get almost there though. Am I just not waiting long enough?

could use one of them pillar pods ive seen around or build a plate to go over the cd space in the center. ive also seen guys move the heater controls down and use that space for gages. if the oil pressure gage is off maybe the temp one is as well. lol. fans should come on at around 225.
