Default SLP Headers?

Are the SLP headers any good. I was looking at the headers that came with my project car and they have SLP's tag. I don't think there is any knid of coating? For cost sake I would like to stick with these but if there is something way better I would like to know.

The headers have think layer of rust on them. I was thinking this process to clean them up.

Any other options?

I don't believe those are SLP headers because, SLP headers are always coated and I don't think they produced headers for LT1 Camaro's. Hey we're talking V8's now.

I think they are SLP's if not someone went to a heck of a lot of trouble to make them look like SLPs

So the question remains. Are they any good and does anyone know of a good way to protect them. I do not like rust. They do not seem pitted bad just surface rust.

Check out afipowder.com, their Armorcoat process is awesome. They coated mine 6 years ago and they still look like new. It cost $ 220 at the time for my shorty/ mids but well worth it.
