Well im not the smartest about cars. But what's goin on with my 96 z28 (only 50,000 miles..) is that reverse alot of the times will pop out of gear and grinds sometimes. its done that since i bought it. but recently 3rd was popping out of gear and yesterday its gone. it would go into gear once and a while. but usually it just grinds it bad. Is this just a syncro problem? or worse? how much does that usually cost?

and also im having a weird noise down under around where my gearshift is. that doenst sound good at all.

 

sounds like something is bent in the trany, maybe a shift arm??? sincros could be part of the problem.
