Default Weird Noises..

I Have a 97 3.8 with 140,000 miles on it. For a little while now it has been making a wirling sound at low speeds. ( 0-40ish i think). I use to think that it could only be heard from the inside so i wasnt to worried about it. The other day my girlfriend pulled away in it and i heard it from the outside..I also notice it coming and going with differnent dips in the road. From what i can guess it probably somthing to do with the driveshafe/transmission. Not sure though. Another problem i am having is i get a vibration in the car between 30 and 35 mph and then it goes away. I know that i have bad shocks on the car and need to replace them. ( so bad that when i floor it i can feel it bottoming out in the rear.) Help Please..... Thanks.

The vibrations could just be that your tires need balancing. As for the noise, do you know where it's coming from? If it's from the rear, it could belittle to nodifferential fluid, bad bearings in the rear, etc...
