Stuttering on acceleration
#11
I have this same problem, but sometimes I can shut off the car and restart it, and the problem goes away. But lately that hasn't been working.
Then today, when i got home, the engine temp was around 190-210, so i opened the hood and saw some smoke coming from the middle of the engine.
Ideas?

190-210 isn't a concern
you'll be asked about fluid levels
any signs of leaks or fluid consumption
age of plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, o2 sensors
does it only occur with less than half a tank of gas
be prepared to add all that to the post. if youa ren't sure, check them before posting

Just for a reference, I literally have the same problem. It is a pain for me to even take the car for a drive anymore it has just sat in the garage for the last two weeks. I have replaced numerous vacuum lines and sensors, I only had a meter to check things then and those can be inconsistent. I've recently purchased an aldl cable and am running software on my computer to help me figure it out. There can only be a few remaining items causing this on my end. The people helping me take a look at my data logs are seeing inconsistencies with my opti cam sensor along with other areas. I'm pretty sure my opti is about shot regardless. The other reasoning for my problems was low voltage which is clear on all scans. I've also had numerous vacuum problems.
Just thought I would throw my experiences in on this thread, in the beginning my vehicle would only shudder and shake at certain times/rpm ranges but it got progressively worse. Hope some of this at least gives you some ideas as to what to look for.
