its a 99 rs with 114k miles auto trans, blue. the kid hit a deer with the car and the bumper is scraped and it will need a new hood and intake lid since the hood smashed the intake. he also says the car will start and drive fine just like before he hit the deer just now there is one cylinder that wont fire (he says) he hasnt looked into it at all just doesnt want to fix the car he wants 1000.00 bucks for it

what do you guys think?

 

sounds like a lot of work for a 6er to me

 

It could have just knocked a plug wire off the coil packs or damaged one of them causing it not to fire on that cylinder. Who knows? $1000, how are the tires, brakes, exhaust, shocks, power window motors, etc. I paid $750 for a 98 with an overall good body and interior but the engine was locked up. Spent $1495 to get engine rebuilt. It was a project for me and one of my daughters. From what it sounds like, a new hood and some paint would be the high ticket items.

 

and depends on if there are lots of parts available in your area.could be an easy fix but have you the time?

 

nevermind, deal sucks, the rest of the body is bondo and primer and the tires suck and the brakes were shot and the **** in the radiator was white and the end of the dipstick was burnt blue, so im not dippin my stick in that one
