Trans fluid pouring out like I slit a throat its bad

 

That sucks! I know how it feels! One 10mm, or a 12mm holds my dipstick in place on the EGR. Did it leak everything out? Is that the Z28 you fixed up? Still gonna sell it? Not sure why you would want too after all that work. My RS (yeah laugh, it has the ground effects) was 500 bucks, 150 dollar replacement motor later and she works just fine! I should change the name to frank-en-stein since its a bunch of Camaro parts from other cars that made this one come back to life.

 

Ya it leaked everything out like 70$ worth of fluid and ya its the z at this point I'm really thinking about selling it I wanna get a 2nd gen but I've only got about 1200 into it ill get this little crap fixed a cheap paint job and put her on Craigslist for 5k and see what I can get

well now its 430 am and im finally home on a good note the wrecker i originally called gave me his buddys number that guy was there in 15 min (the first guy was gunna be another hour or so) and it was only 75$

 

whoo hooo i fixed it there was no seal in the new trans pulled the old seal out and put it in the new trans

 

What seal was missing? The dipstick tube seal?

 

yup... only problem now is i dont have reverse if i put it in reverse it will move but if i hit the gas it doesnt do anything

 

ok so what does it mean if trans fluid is blowing out the dipstick

i put 5 qts in this morning it was pretty much bone dry
