yea i think ur talking urself up. i would stop while ur ahead. but anyways a chip doesnt help out that much. my friend has a z like mine. same year,94, and it has a "corvette" chip as he calls it and it isnt exceptionally fast. it wouldnt be a c5 or c6 vette. so i call bullcrap on this story.

RE: LT1 z28 Stock Vs 2005 Stock Corvette
I don't think so. I hear LT1 Camaro owners say this about racing LS1 Camaros, but the fact is the LS1 has gobs of torque down low and up high. The LT1 had a greater PORTION (percentage) of its torque down low, but an LS1 still had more overall.
There is one case where an LT1 Camaro can take an LS1 Camaro: I've seen a stock 97 LT1 M6 with 3.42 axle running against a 98 LS1 Auto with 2.73 axle, it jumped off the line and got about 3-4 lengths ahead of the LS1 (but then the LS1 reeled it in by the end of the quarter). Its not the engine, its the axle doing it. And the same LT1 then got absolutely killed by a 98 M6 Camaro with its same 3.42 axle ratio - I know because it was my'98, back when it was new, and stock.
That is the only possibility of an LT1 Camaro beating an LS1 Camaro. But a stock LT1 Camaro beating an LS1 vette? Not going to happen even if it is an auto with 2.73 - the weight alone would give the vette enough edge.
And realize the BS is deeper here than even that because we aren't talking about an LS1 in this case, he claims it was a C6 - an LS2.

I want to know how he thinks he traps at 110 in the 1/4? From the sounds of his posts he has never been to a track so how does he have an accurate figure. I agree that the LT1 is a good engine but the BS/misinformation in the thread is really deep.
Midnight Falcon, just realize that there are people here with a ton of experiance, and while there is a chance you might have taken that Vette somehow, it does not mean you are faster than them, if you did win you beat the driver not the car.
