Default Putting an 2005 Corvette CD player in a 2000 Camaro

I want to put a 6 disc 2005 cd player from a Corvette into my 2000 Camaro SS. Any thoughts on if the connections are the same? If they are not same, i'll just say screw it and put in an Alpine. I'm hoping the stock connectors are the same and that the controls on the steering wheel will work... Anybody happen to know?

Best,

all i can tell you is that you'll have to plug it in and find out for yourself. the stock Camaro radio should come out pretty easily, you can just pull the plastic piece off with your hands (no tools required). There's probably only three or four screws holding the radio in.

I think the only tricky parts will be 1) if the panel will still fit fine with the other radio in, and 2) if the steering wheel controls work. Like I said, you're just going to have to plug it in and find out.

Searching around (hard to believe anyone would do that, I know), it looks like the Corvette uses a Double Din tall radio, whereas you have an opening for a 1.5 Din tall radio. Either A) you can hack and customize your own center bezel, or B) you can buy this one. Or get a radio that fits, and either wire it yourself or pay for someone to hook it up.
