depends on the driver and modifications but stock to stock assuming nobodys and idiot behind the wheel id say the maro would take it

 

stang is 5 yrs newer...hp is similar...but the maro has aged some...

That is a very good race, in a drag he would have the upper hand on you. If you did some fine tune ups you could still have a pretty good chance. Also sence your a 5 spd, if you are good and can shift fast enough, you can hold out those RPMs and that would give you the upperhand.

However if you were racing him on a track that acully has left turns AND right turns the camaro would kill it. It wouldnt even be close. I dont know if Ford has figured out that there are right turns in the world.

Whats the highs safe rpm that i should run it too? 5500? thats wat i normally pull at.

No, but I have drove a 99ish v6 camaro with minor mods.

I have drove a 98 LS1 camaro with minor mods.

I have raced 3 LS1 camaros with minor mods.

 

will my rockers have any effect?

and we both have around the same miles i have 40,000 and he has 31,000 i belive not definite on his miles but close. we'll see ill let you kno what happens.
