what rpm are you guys idling at? im at about 500 is that to low?

that's high unless you have a radical camshaft.

Stock camshaft for me and in Drive with brakes on it's around 600rpm's

parked in idle it's around 700 rpm

no matter what i do it goes back to 1k sometimes up or down a little. do have a fair sized cam.

The surest way is to pull the rear cover and look for the ratio stamped on the pinion gear. If it is not stamped, then just count the teeth on the ring and pinion gears and do the math. Pulling the cover also lets you look inside and see what condition things are. Personally, I wouldn't buy any used parts without inspecting them.

the maro ain't blown heat. today was the first cold day that I've drivin the car long enough to use the heater. but it only blew cold air. what should I check? thermostat?

look at the sticky at the top of this section, says heater info, see if any of that helps.

Default new issue

I jus changed my thermostat and I was pretty careful not to get the opti wet. but now it seems like maybe all 4 cylinders on the drivers side aren't firing. the header pipes r warm to the touch. I can hold the pipes after car was running for 10 minutes. but the passenger side pipes r hot like the should b. if any water got on the opti it was no more than a very tiny bit from when I was bleeding the lines. ima give it a minute to dry then Ina go check it. any other suggestions. it was workin fine this mornin.

the driver side definitely ain't firing. there is no exhaust comin out the driver side pipe. I do have spark and fuel.
wtf this is pissin me off everyday it's something new.
