what if the best gearratio for the rear end besides the stock 3:42?

3:73 seems to be the most popular choice. I have 3:42 also and everytime I read about a gear swapsthat is always the one recommended.

It all depends on what you intend to do. There is no one best solution that covers every possibility.

thts wht i was planning to do put 3:73 in it it will be for street use and ill bring it to the track a few times

what all do you have done to your car? i got two buddies with lt1s one has stock gears with a couple mods and the other one has 4.10s with a couple more mods and that thing pulls hard as hell.

it all depends on what you want, what you've done to your engine, if you have a stock tranny or not, what size stall your converter has, what kind of driving you do, etc, etc....
