Default gearing


Hi guys, does anyone know who makes a 3.90 gear kit? Im planning on getting a 94-97 z28 automatic.Isacceleration the same with a manualstock gearing(3.42), and an automatic 3.42 gearing?Thanks

I am going to say no on this one the manual and automatic trans have different ratio's in them. If this is a street car i would go with 3.73s but if it is a weekend driver or you just dont mind the fuel 4.10s

there shouldn't be much of a difference in acceleration in auto vs manual gears.

Why iswhen I look at used z28's for sale, a lot of them say new transmission or rebuit motor?
Do the transmissions suck?

you are looking at a car that is about 12 years old. Lot of these cars could have been used for racing and stuff. So after 12 years they wear out and you need to replace it
