Default chattering noise

I asked a question yesterday about a chattering noise that I am having with my camaro and i think Z28pete gave me a few tips and one of them was a KS something or other. I guess I don't know what a KS is but I would like to know so I can hopefully track down this noise as it's kind of bothering. Any help on what this is would help. Thanks pete, but kind of new to this site and don't know too much about cars except that I like my Z28.

Sorry about that, the KS is the knock sensor. It is screwed into the block, on the driver side, in the place of one of the coolant drain plugs, and has a dark blue wire attached to it. It detects vibrations caused by pinging and knocking, and signals the computer to retards the spark to prevent it. If the connection to the block is not clean or tight enough, the sensor fails to pick up light vibrations. It could also be bad.
