I have a 95 z28 with 46000 miles that I recently bought and ever since I've owned it it has made a slight chattering noise whenever accelerating quickly. Doesn't do it under normal acceleration. wondering if anyone else has similar problems or any tips or info. would help.

 

Check your U joints on the drive shaft and also the level of your diff fulid. If it's low buy a little bit of gear lube and a little bit of LSD addative.

If the noise is coming from the engine, the engine may be pinging under load. Check taht the KS is screwed in tight into the block, and that the check engine lite is OFF.

 

Does it make the noise you you say but the car in neutral and then hold the rpms at a level like say 2000 if so it could be a lifter or a valve.

 

put the right fuel in it.stop running cheap ****.
