most testers have a sharp pointy end that can be used to poke a small hole in the wire to get a connection on that wire, or the switch has openings where the wires go in, you can stick the test probe in there to connect or make contact with the bare connection end on the end of the wire.

And along with this problem, sometimes when im at a dead stop or moving very slowly I will release my clutch and the pedal will stop coming out at barely an inch and my clutch will just grab. If im lucky it wont kill my engine. Any ideas on that?

I thought if my vats was messing up it would disable my fuel pump and wouldnt allow me to push start it.

starter enable relay may be failing. this is from my 93 book, most of what you have should be the same.

I just thought of that today. Or maybe my starter solenoid, but you have to buy a new starter to get one. Ill check the relay. From what ive figured, it has to be an electrical component failing due to heat somehow.
