Default bbk shorty headers

just installed the bbk shorty headers on my 96 z28 with the lt1. before i did the headers i got mallory 8mm wires with the straightboots now some of the wires boots hit the manifolds and i was wondering which ones worked best the ones that have the 90 degree boot or the ones that have the 145 degree angle. anyone use these headers which ones work best? also i am well on my way for bolt ons. i have k&n CAI, bbk 58mm throttle body, with ported stock intake, bbk short headers, msd coil, borla cat back exhaust, and the new 3.73 gear job, now i am wonder ing to either go with a biggger MAF. or to get the hypertech programmer, i hope to this winter get a 383 short block with the lt4 conversion kit with the sts turbo kit. it will be pure insanity. what you guys think?

I don't have the BBK shorties, but I'd go for 90 deg. on the boots, all of mine are 90 and they work fine with my headers, although you may want to pick up some heatshields for the boots. I got the ones that came stock on the car, just got them from a GM dealership and I have yet to have any plug issues. I'd say stay away from the Hypertech, it's a lot of money and you can get a lot more if you go for a trade in PCM tune from pcmforless.com
