shorty headers for side pipes
Back in 69 I bought my Hugger Orange Camaro new and I installed 67 Vette side exhaust. Many yeras later I find out thats what Baldwin Motion did to some of its cars. Back then no one had pipe benders so I used sold flexable pipe and welded it all together, I want to add side exhaust now to my 350 Camaro. The engine currently is a 350 with Dart heads and 375 HP with long tube headers. I can use the long tubes but Id need to make a doyble "U" bend to hook up to the 67 Vette pipes.
1 question is can I install shorty headers on a non power steering 4 speed car?
2nd is what size exit 2" or 2.5" exhaust
3rd anyone here ever done this before

Totally apples and oranges, but I did something similar on a 67 mustang. I had to dent one of the tubes to miss the steering, other than that, i had to get creative on the exit point....I used long tubes. Shorties tend to flare out more, which I think would be harder to deal with rather than long tubes.

where are you at in central pa? i know of a few people who could do this for you. the shop across the street from me has a very low labor rate, lots of tubing and a bender. send me a pm if you want their number
