Default 94 z28 wont turn over

ok guys i just got a brand new a/c system put in the car. As i crank the car to leave the shop i notice it cranks a little funny but blamed that on it not being driven in a week. I got on the interstate and start to drive home, but half way there the car dies...just stops running. I crank it back up as im coasting down the interstate no problem. I thought it would be a good idea to stop at a gas station to check her out, so i pull over and cut the car off...OOPS. It wont turn over anymore. You stick the key in the ignition, turn it to on, the fuel pump doesnt prime, the fans dont cut on, my dash lights (engine related) are all dead. I dont get a flashed security light, no check guage test light, no voltage meter, the starter wont click, no nothing. My radio cuts on with the key, the interior lights all shine bright, the headlights work, brake lights, turn signals, the works. Im thinking i have a short somewhere but dont even know where to look. Any advice? It was raining btw...

sounds like the guys at the shop didnt hook the battery up right. take the cables off and wire brush the heck outa the battery terminals and the cable ends and put em back on. if that makes no difference then follow the ground wire to the block, should go down to behind the belt tensioner, it bolts into the mount for the ac so it could be there. check tightness and clean if needed. also there is a small red plastic box aka power junction box, take the wires lose and clean them as well as the junction itself. there is also a ground junction there may as well check them out for tightness and corrosion.

ok i took a wire brush and degreaser to the red junction box, the ground junction behind it, and the ground behind the tensioner. The headlights seem a little brighter but still the same otherwise. I also turned the key on and jumped the starter, it kicked over just fine so i know it has juice. Does this seem like a PCM failure to you?

.
when that happened to my 95Z, which by the way is common with these vehicles, I used the below to make it all better. Be sure to buy the correct one

Check the other end of the ground battery cable at the motor mount. A motor mount bolt fell out and it did the same thing on my Z.
