Tensioner pulley removal
I have a 97 with a 3.8L. As I was driving home today my belt snapped, I was kinda shocked as it's fairly new. As I'm replacing the belt I notice that the pulley on the tensioner assembly needs to be replaced. How do you remove the pulley? Is it held by the same bolt you use to loosen the tension for removing/installing the belt?
I think the pulley unbolts from the tensioner arm, that's how most GM's are built. Some, the hole tensioner assembly gets replaced. Check and see what the parts house gives you.
