Aluminum Heater hose from tensioner pulley housing
While taking off my timing cover and tensioner pulley housing I found a weak spot in the design. Not sure if many know this or not so I am posting the info here.
There is a small plastic elbow that transfers the coolant from the tensioner pulley housing to the heater hoses. When I took mine off I noticed that the original plastic elbow had broken off inside the hole (Under the intake). THANK GOD for small hook tools. I fished it out.
I found these aluminum ones that would fix this problem indefinitely. Highly recommended. Glad this happened now or I would have never have known.
Comparison:
Showing how the plastic OEM elbow failed.:
