FYI. THe ignition lock, on one of my camaros 96Z, all of a sudden would not turn and crank or let you get the key out without a struggle using both hands. Thought I was going to have to replace ignition. After a few brews, I thought on the wild chance it was because of the alarm system. Locked everything with remote. Manually unlocked doors and trunk. Put key in ignition and it worked perfectly! Hope this might help someone in the future.

I'm sorry. I gave misinformation. Must have just been coincidence that the ignition lock worked 6 times after the what I stated above. Wasnt' alarm after all. I need to replace the ignition lock itself. NAPA said $40.00 for the lock and key. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
