My fans will not come on when theyre supposed to. At idle the car heats up fans wont come on. When you turn the ac on they will come on. Tested all 3 relays, new ect sensor on the water pump. Car drives fine with ac on but with it off at idle the car gets too hot almost to the red! Any suggestions?

 

[:@] aaahhhhh the extra hot camaro not to worry the general decided that the fans dont need to come on until around 220 deg. sadistic i know but this is normal. now if they dont come on at all or the needle is buried in the red then we have a problem kurt

 

mines got the same deal, but i noticed that where the coolant fan temp sensor used to be was just a single prong connector coming out of the block, and a single wire was hanging down in the same area. That gonna be my project for the weekend... good Luck

 

check the grounds leading on the left side of the engine bay by the battery, you have 2 sets of fans, a high and a low.
