Default Main Bearings Replacement

I'm looking at buying replacement main bearings for car while I'm redoing the rear seal and was looking at the Clevite series. Would buying replacement performance bearings cause excessive wear and early failure of the stock crank? I was looking at the full groove clevite bearings (MS909HG) to replace my current ones. I would assume going with a stock size would be right but I've heard somewhere that the Clevite bearings need work if you're going stock.
