Default clunking noise

94 z28, whenever I shift the tranny there is this clunking noise, its not the gears shifting. There is almost a hesitation and then as the gear shifts there's like this deep clunk. Also if im racing wit someone the tranny will shift hard, its not gradual its almost like a yanking pull feeling. Hope that makes sense, kinda hard to explain. Thanks again

that seems to be common on a high mileage LT1, I believe its the tranny mount, replace that and you should be all gravy.

Would that cause the tranny to have a sorta hesitation? How do you change the mount, got any pointers? Thanks for the reply!
