Default Camaro dieing

ok well i have a 89 camaro with a 305 and i have 2 12's sony explodes 1200peak power and 500 rmswith a 760 watt pioneer an a capacitor that is made for a 1000 watts. i also have the optima battery and i recently added a 2nd alternator wire to the alternator to the battery to send extra power i have a brand new alternator on it almost i bought the car back in december from my friends brother which passed away and he clamed it was new and it looks new.
everything is wired with 8 gauge wire but my trouble is that the car keeps on using to much power and dies at stoplights or stop signs unless i rev engine (then everyone wants to race lol) any ideas on wat i should do or look at so it wont keep dieing ?

Had the same problem. I agree check that alt. I would run 4 gauge wire also it helps flow of power. I had to in the end run to high output alts but i was running a lil more than you maybe a high output alt would help

i doubt its your stereo, but if your going to run a seperate wire to the alt and bat then you need to do the same to bat to chasis and then chasis to engine block
