car dieing and tpi ??
My 83 cross305 wants to die at idle i have to rev it to keep it running, the fuel pump, and filter has been changed i have been told it just could need idled up. It idles at 500 rpm i've been told should be around 7-800. It has the cross fire injection if this helps, don't really have a clue what would cause this.
Also am wanting to get a 350 but with a TPI would i have to change my fuel pump and lines and stuff, or should i just go with a regular fuel injection system? Thanks guys

I'm not sure if the 83 has a idle control screw or if the is controled by the computer, knowing would narrow down causes, If you have a book it would clear that up and it will show you the location. If you don't have a book, checkNAPA, Discount Auto, whatever, they are like $17 and a wealth of information.
I've had idle problems on several cars both too high and too low, one had an intake manifold leak, another had a bad idle air control valve, and my 87 camaro that I just got needed to simply turn down the idle adjustment screw a bit. Lots of possibilies imo.
