Default Where is the fuel filter located on 98 3.8

I agree that it's probably not the o2 sensor, so I looked in my Haynes guide to change the fuel filter and it does say exactly where it is. It does say to clean the "housing?" off with air or carb cleaner. And it said i'll need a special tool but doesnt say what. when to autozone of course they said i don't need anything.z28 pete is the ****, thanks for all your help.

its about the size of a pop can, in front of the driver rear wheel but be hind the drive door..... you dont need a special tool( 2 flat head screw drivers work fine lol) now if its been on there for a while, it will prolly break the swrew part and then you will need a fuel line from the dealer. get under there and look and u will see what im talking about..........
