ok...its not my car yet, its my parents, but when my dad buys one of the new camaro's that are comin out he's giving me the 99 v6 as a graduation gift, and i really wanna soup that thing up...call me crazy but i'd like 2 get atleast 450 horses under the hood. I know its possible, but could ne1 tel me what i would need 2 drop in the car, and how much do u think it would cost? (just guess at the price if ur not sure). thanks for the help.

 

how about swappin that v6 for an LS1 cuz theres no way to squease that much power outta v6 without alot of money.

 

you could keep ur V6 and do cold air intake , exhaust, SUPERCHARGER , or TURBOCHARGER, headers, chip upgrade, 3.73 gears, a good cam , and a some NOS all that should get you pretty close to that. I you do all that you will probably get like 300 hp

 

well i mean from the looks of that though i might as well go ahead and swap the v6 for a v8...hmm...ne1 know the price range on a 5.9 v8???

 

5.9? you meen 5.7 right? and i belive to swap it out your going to have to change out your tranny also and change the mounts out.

 

yeah but i think its cheaper to put a turbo or supercharger. Well nvm its about the same to put in a V8. and the SS and Z28's have a 5.7 liter which is a corvette engine

 

personally id rather make a 'sleeper' and puta supercharger/turbo (what ever floats your boat) onto it and race the big bad V8's :-P 'yah its justa stock v6....' [8D]

 

yeah 5.7 my bad...i'll tell you what i'd really like if i could afford it though...get one of those new 6.2L v8's that are goin in the new camaro's...atleast thats what i've been hearin. i just need 2 hear as many options as possible.

 

i am slowly turning my camaro into a sleeper. So when i race and they see the back of my camaro and there no badges it will hurt them even more knowing they got SMOKED by a V6 camaro

 

well the sleeper thing could work...but honestly i want a car, that when someone in a mustang cobra gt hears it...they wont think twice about backin down...basically i'm lookin for as much horsepower and intimidation i can get out if it. I'm thinkin about sayin screw the 99 and backin up 2 a 69 model...but i mean i've still got a year or so 2 figure out what i wanna do so i've got plenty of time. thanks for all the advice though!!!
