Somebody way before me tore out my crossfire, and the hood inserts went with it. Now Ive got two big gaping holes that let all sorts of water in. Will a set of take off hood louvers fit in the recesses in my hood (with mods for the bolt holes)?

 

If you are speaking of the hood louvers on the 85 and up they are wider than the recessed area on the early hoods.

 

Its an 82. Will louvers from an 82 fit?

 

I supose they would but you will have to make something to mount them to as they just had bolt holes in the hood.
