So I did a little searching and could not find a difinitive answer, but to be fair I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.

I notice that on the hood of my Camaro there seems to a place where some sort of insert went into the hood scoops/louvers/intakes.

I was wondering if there was at one time something that went into those slots or if I am completely off base.

Second I was wondering that, if there is something that can be fit in there, if it comes in different colors, red would be cool I think.

 

Take out the plastic and you will have a heat extractor. There is a thread on ls1tech.com of that modification, and iirc the underhood temps did go down.

 

eh, not a fan of red louvers. black louvers on a red car look good though, I've seen that before.

 

Is there a website or someplace I could browse some?

I'm gonna try this myself, maybe add a chrome mesh in there.
