Post camaro hood

does anyone know of a place around Houston, TX where i can get a fiberglass 4" cowl hood for my 80 z28? i see them all over the internet but the shipping is ussally 150-250$$ so i figured if i can find somewhere local it might be a little cheaper. or does any one around the Houston area have one for sale?

Have you talked to Camaro Concepts? They're right there in Houston.

If you're not in a hurry, most places can save you money on shipping if you let them hold the order and combine with other orders. A fiberglass hood might be the exception though, as most Camaro parts places don't order glass, so that may not be an option to combine orders with others.
Any reason you want fiberglass over steel? OER Group sells a 3 3/4" steel that's cheaper, and everbody buys from OER, so they could save money that way. My hood is the steel OER unit.
Besides fiberglass hoods never fit right without a lot of extra work to make them fit.

a friend of mine has a fiberglass lift off cowl hood and i just thought it was pretty cool. but if i can find a steel one for cheaper i rather have that. just alot of the fiberglass ones ive seen lately were cheaper than the steel ones.

My steel hood was $359 out the door at my local Super Chevy Parts Store. Lift offs may look cool until you want to remove it and there's nobody there to assist. What if you had an emergency and needed to pull over and get the hood open quickly? Hate to see a Camaro burn to the ground for lack of help getting the hood off!
