Question Ticking and Hesitation

In the morning when I start the engine is cold, it makes a ticking at start up, the ticking gets faster as the RPMs increase and it hesitates to accelerate slightly. Once the engine warms up, everything is fine. Does anyone have any clue as to what might be my problem, and how would I go about fixing this?

Thanks.

Your description sound like lifter issue to me. What oil weight you using? What is oil pressure at start up?

yep most likely one of your lifters are sticky. As mentioned by osduck5, use a good synthetic oil to clean it out

It's a sticky lifter. Try some synthetic/thinner oil. If that doesn't work, you'll just have to get it fixed which can be pricey.
