so its me again with my car probs. So my new motor came with a tick. Its getting worse and we're tired of this. So an oppurtunity was presented to me, i have a friend with a ls1 motor and drive train for a swap who is wanting to get it out of his garage. yea i no... v6 to v8 sh*t but my dad got something in his head about a father son project, so new deal, we collect the warrantee money when this junker dies (soon) and we're using it help the transfer... even if this falls thru, we collect the money and use it to build my spare 3.8 sitting in my garage and it'll be nice. I'm just so tired of these dumb problems.... I'm on the verge of selling my car...

 

Chin up! Probably just a lifter! I know where you comiing from. I was getting the same feeling after replacing a motor, driving to fill the tank then the key would not let me start the car. I had to have a new key made then when it started, it was backfiring, sputtering like crazy! Finally, got it all straightened out.

 

yea... it is just a lifter... but its getting worse and worse and soon (the way i drive) its gonna bust a rod out the top... i'm wondering wether its worth digging into again or selling it to buy the 1989 irocz i've always wanted
