Stuttering Issue
Ok, i own a 1985 Camaro 5-speed with a 2.8L. The odd time it'll start idling between 1500-2000 rpm, then i'll try to rev it and it won't rev past 3500rpm, stuttering the whole way up there. All the plugs, cap. rotor, and wires, have been replaced along with the carbon canister. I have also replaced a lot of vacuum lines, but i still haven't found the problem. Does anyone have any idea at what this could be?

RE: Stuttering Issue
Have you go the right fireing order, sometimes even one wire could cause a man headaches. the firingorder is simple to remember on 60* engines, 123456. It is that simple. Also try the egnition coil, then check the engien at idle to see if it is making any weird noises. You can also check your rockers by having some one turn over the engine with the coil disconnected from the distributor, check the rockers to see if they are set right or if a couple dont move at all.

RE: Stuttering Issue
if none of that ius the case, turn your destributor left or right, and if it doesnt change or chcanges the engines running barely, then your timing chain could of jumped a tooth. did this happen verry suddenly? or over time? if it was a sudden problem, then your timing hcain jumped a tooth. its happened to be before with another vehicle.
