The sensor only has 2 wires, brown wire goes closest to the tab. Black wire goes across from it.

Tab is on bottom of sensor in this picture.

Tab is on bottom of sensor in this picture.

Cubandaddy, the connector in the picture is the wrong one. The size looks right, but the black wire needs to go in the empty hole.

If you look at the circuit wiring schematic above, the tan wire has an "A" marked beside it where the wire would plug into the sensor. That indicates the position in the connector body and you should match the terminal "A" position shown in the connector illustration with the tan wire. As I said above, if which lead of the pigtail goes to which terminal is not known, it would be best to check with a continuity tester to make sure you have the right lead for terminal "A".

If that's the case, that is terminal "B" of the connector and a pig tail lead from one of the other unused terminals could be moved to the "B" position in the connector if necessary. Otherwise you'll have to find a connector with pins in that pin configuration. A weatherproof connector is a little more complicated to do, but it can be done.

The black wire is not shown on the Instrument Panel schematic, but it is shown on the Ground Distribution schematics below. I can't remember coming across this type of discrepancy in the drawings not showing all the wires and pin locations of a connector going to a device before.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help. The aftermarket wire harnesses have a ton of options but not the one I needed. I’ll repin it and install it. Again the help means a lot.
