replacing starter on 3.4 camaro
ok my friend has a 94 3.4 camaro, and we are trying to replace the starter, the problem is we have it disconnected and it is unbolted, but the exhaust manifolds are in the way of taking it down, do you have to remove the manifolds to pull the starter or is there another way ?

I managed to remove my starter without having to do anything to the manifold by removing the solenoid from the starter along with disconnecting the wires while it was in there. After taking the solenoid off the starter it still needed to find that angle to get it out. Nevertheless I don’t think I could have done it with the solenoid attached. The same for putting it back in, without the solenoid attached. It wasn’t easy, but that’s the way it was possible. I attached the wires after it got it bolted back on the engine. Don’t forget to disconnect the negative terminal from the batteruy before anything. Im sure you already know that, but that’s it,.. remove the two bolts connected the solenoid assembly to the starter and go about finding that angle.
