GAS TANK PROBLEM

EVER SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR, WHEN IM DRIVING MY NEEDLE MOVES WAY TO MUCH.. IT CAN SOMETIMES SAY A QUARTER TANK, THEN BE ALMOST ON E. is that normal? or what can i do to fix it?

maybe a fuel sender, why the caps all the time?

It's the gas movin in the tank..fill it up and it'll go from full to 3/4 when you accelerate..
