burning up in Florida

Default burning up in Florida

Im putting a 350 into my 81 it had a v6 and the ac is on the other side, does anyone know how I can save the ac?

You'll have to get all the A/C stuff froma V8 car, compressor, lines. I think the condensor and evaperator are the same.

Thanks, will i have to open the system to replace those parts or can i keep it under pressure?

The system will vent when you change the hoses. After venting tape all openings shut so that no moisture gets into the sytem. Don't bother refilling with the old freon R12 stuff, as it costs a fortune. There are retrofit kits available that will allow you to refill with substitute refrigerant such as Freeze 12, whcih is a lot cheaper, mixes with the old R12, and does not melt the O rings like R134a.
