That version won't work for the 3.4L engine. But I do have one that works. See this topic (sorry, I don't remember making one for the V6 here on this site):

Finding a handheld scanner/reader for that car will be difficult. Most auto parts stores will not have one. I know this one works for the 3.4L but you would have to buy the CP9127 cable kit to go with it. The price has fallen greatly lately:
