Well i have a transmission problem. I own a 94 z28 and since i bought the car about 6 months ago. I knew when i bought the car it had a bad trans. The problem with it is when u take the motor past about 3k to 3500 the motor just revs and no power to the ground. Obviously the trans is slipping but could something else be causing this besides it just being worn out? And just recently(in the last month or so) overdrive is non functional and when in first the trans seems like it doesnt want to shift out. The trans shifts out at like 4k and u have to hold it at 4k before it will shift out. Could this possibly be the speed sensors? Maybe the torque converter? Or just a bad trans?

 

I assume that you have checked to make sure it really does have enough fluid in the trans? No to insult your intelligence, but they do this when they don't.

there is clearly something wrong and one thing to remember: transmission get worse, quickly, once they go bad.

 

Yes i have checked it several times but yeah it had been going bad for a while now. I guess it has finally given up.
