Right, to control the PWM t.c.c. solenoid in the valve body. That's what the TransGo kit that he's going to install will take care of.

speaking of the transgo kit... got this in the mail yesterday
i was very surprised it was here summit said "please allow 3-4 weeks for shipping" it was 2 days i ordered it on the 10th in the morning and it was at the door on the 12th at about noon

For all that trouble, your better off completely overhauling your original trans. You'll keep the value of the vehicle with the original trans. Why would you go thru all that if you have your original trans? Modifying is never the way to go if you have the original trans to rebuild. Jmho.
also if money wasnt the issue id take that 1600 and get a t56
its not the original motor either

so the trans i had lined up was not the right one at all i have no idea how the guy had it bolted to the lt1... but i found a new junkyard and they have SOOOOOOOOO MANY LT1s... lol i was in sbc heaven anyways i got a trans out of a 95 caprice with 138k and after getting her home and cleaning off all the oil and crud i found a remanufactured by gm sticker... hmmm just wish i knew when
